Valentine’s Day or Day of Love and Friendship, is a holiday to celebrate love between couples and friends.
It is a special date for lovers and friends to express their love and affection.
There are several ways to celebrate this special day in different parts of the world, this time there will be a clear description of some of the countries that have the habit of recognizing this day as a very special one.
Ecuador
Married couples, boyfriends and friends take advantage on February 14 to provide a show of love through letters, serenades and roses. Over the years it has become a commercial date so restaurants, rose shops and even motels are full due to the sight of thousands of lovers.
United Kingdom
In the UK, couples get seriously romantic on Valentine’s Day. The lovers of all the islands give flowers, chocolates and jewels. At night, couples usually enjoy a pleasant dinner in the city or opt for an evening at home by candlelight.
United States
United States lovers give their all to show their love. Every year, Americans spend 18 million dollars that day on candy, cards, chocolates, flowers and jewelry. Greeting cards are the most common gift, but not only for couples. Family members, friends and students also exchange cards with notes of friendship, affection and gratitude.
